Moicano vs Saint Denis updates, results of each fight

UFC Fight Night 243 takes place on Saturday and you can watch live round-by-round coverage and official results starting at 12:00 p.m. ET (9:00 a.m. PT). UFC Fight Night 243 (ESPN+) takes place at the Accor Arena in Paris.

In the main event, Renato Moicano (19-5-1 MMA, 11-5 UFC) meets outstanding French lightweight Benoit Saint Denis (13-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC). In the co-feature, Brendan Allen (24-5 MMA, 12-2 UFC) meets Nassourdine Imavov (14-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in the middleweight division.

Victor Altamirano vs. Daniel Barez

Round 1 – Low kicks are offered early by both as they scan the range. Altamirano charges forward with his left hand. Barez punches to the body. BANG! A big right hand from Barez Floors Altamirano! He runs to the finish, but Altamirano catches him. Wow. Altamirano survives the attack but is still on the ground in full guard. Barez opts for the stand and they’re back to hitting the feet. Altamirano misses with a spinning kick. Another nice punch to the body from Barez. Altamirano responds with a headbutt. Barez continues to trudge forward. Altamirano fires two headbutts. The striking battle continues with individual casualties, mostly kicks from Altamirano. Barez charges forward with two punches.

Round 2 – Altamirano starts with a head kick. Barez controls the center while Altamirano continues to keep him at bay with front kicks to the body. Altamirano fires off a quick combo as Barez looks to close the distance. Barez steps in with a solid right hand. Altamirano returns to his shooting offensive from the outside. Altamirano stays light on his feet and hops around while firing left kicks. Barez intervenes with a right hand. Altamirano kicks again. Barez hits hard and Altamirano stumbles backwards.

Jacqueline Cavalcanti vs. Nora Cornolle

Round 1 – They touch gloves and start sizing each other up. The action begins with exchanging leg kicks as they settle in. Cavalcanti adds a few punches up top while controlling the middle. Cornolle throws an overhand right and charges forward into the clinch. The crowd begins chanting as she works against the cage. Cornolle kneed on the thigh and got the back trip. Cornolle jumps in full swing, but Cavalcanti pivots beautifully into reverse. They’re back on their feet and Cavalcanti comes forward with kicks and punches. Cornolle fires a few punches to respond. A front kick from Cornolle in a wild exchange in front of the horn.

Round 2 – Cavalcanti pushes forward, Cornolle throws a few wild punches, including a spin attack. They trade leg kicks, then Cornolle adds a headbutt. Cavalcanti fires a hard right punch straight into the pipe! Another big punch from Cavalcanti lands and Cornolle is badly shaken! Cavalcanti increases the pressure but remains patient. Cornolle now seems to have recovered and gets the clinch. Cornolle takes her down for a second, but Cavalcanti pops up. The clinch continues. Huge Cavalcanti fence handle prevents demolition. The referee simply slaps her hand away, but that clearly prevented a takedown. In any case, the clinch fight continues. They separate for a moment, but they’re right back into another clinch. Cornolle does some quick knee and elbow attacks. Cavalcanti strikes to answer.

Round 3Cavalcanti puts forward pressure again in the first exchanges of the round. Cornolle initiates a clinch and takes the fight to the fence, but Cavalcanti quickly counters and releases. Cavalcanti starts putting together quick punch combinations, keeping Cornolle flat-footed. She circles around and starts shooting back. Cavalcanti prevails with cleaner punches. A frustrated Cornolle turns around and yells at her trainers. Cavalcanti tries to land more punches, but Cornolle grabs the clinch. Cavalcanti escapes and leads the final exchange.

Chris Duncan vs Bolaji Oki

Round 1 – They retouch them and the crowd cheers for the card to begin. Oki looks for a quick punch combination. Duncan offers a calf kick. Oki fires the jab and catches a kick from Duncan. He goes for a takedown but doesn’t go down with it. They’re back and striking. Duncan grabs a standing guillotine and Oki counters with a takedown. Duncan quickly gets up and they start exchanging blows again. Oki throws a series of hard punches! Duncan covers up and escapes the barrage. Oki charges in again, but Duncan jumps for another guillotine. This one is really tight. They’re going down! Oki has problems here! Duncan lets go of the handle. But wait! Just as Duncan is about to strike, he realizes that Oki is asleep! Woah! What a wild ending to start the show.
