Flight cancellations are occurring at Asheville Regional Airport due to technical problems

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) – Asheville Regional Airport announced several flights were canceled Saturday.

The airport said that while it was open and flights were able to take off and land, commercial airlines also faced technological issues that made operations difficult.

According to airport officials, most flights were canceled on Saturday and cancellations are expected to continue.

Travelers are encouraged to check with their airline for the most up-to-date information on their flight status before coming to the airport.

Officials said due to internet problems in the area, the airport’s website is currently not being updated regularly.

The airport said none of the parking lots were flooded.

“We ask for your patience as service is currently unreliable,” the airport said.
