Man and woman are arrested after another man was allegedly shot in the leg – police are looking for more suspects

A man and a woman have been arrested after another man was allegedly shot in the leg at a suburban home in the middle of the day.

Police were called to a home on Ferricks Street in the northern Brisbane suburb of Stafford about 2pm on Sunday where they found a man in his 40s with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg.

CCTV footage obtained by Nine News showed a man with an apparent leg injury limping into the house just moments before a gunshot was heard.

A red Volkswagen with three people in it was then seen leaving the area.

With the help of Polair, police tracked the vehicle, which returned to the home shortly afterwards. A man and a woman were subsequently arrested.

The shooting victim was taken to an ambulance on a stretcher.

It is understood police are looking for at least one other person suspected to be involved.

A police spokesman said there was no threat to public safety and it was believed the arrested couple were known to the victim.
