Alabama secures exciting win over Georgia, Arch Manning shines for Texas.

The Scarlet Wave maintained the upper hand throughout the game, exerting control in the first half and building a sizable 28-0 halftime lead. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck threw two interceptions during that time.

When the game restarted after halftime, Georgia managed to cut the deficit to 33-15 with less than ten minutes left in the final quarter. The Bulldogs scored three consecutive touchdowns to turn the game around and take a 34-33 lead with just 2 minutes, 31 seconds left on the clock.

Alabama’s Jalen Milroe responded promptly and homegrown freshman star receiver Ryan Williams for a spectacular 75-yard touchdown to retake the lead. Williams showed impressive evasive maneuvers, weaving between defenders and running into the end zone.

“I just had to help decide the game,” Williams later told ESPN. “We had come too far. Someone had to make a play.”

Beck led Georgia’s comeback attempt, but ultimately threw his third interception of the game when it was the most important, and Alabama held on for the win, improving their record to 4-0. Georgia defeated 3-1.

Arch Manning delivers in No. 1 Texas win

In other developments, Arch Manning, nephew of Peyton and Eli, put in an impressive performance in No. 1 Texas’ 35-13 victory over Mississippi State, which marked the Longhorns’ first win in the SEC.

Texas committed several errors, including eight offensive penalties, but Manning’s composure and 26 successful passes on 31 attempts for 324 yards and two touchdowns, as well as a strong defensive performance, contributed to the team’s 5-0 record.

Meanwhile, the Kentucky Wildcats surprisingly defeated the No. 1 seed in Oxford.

The Wildcats kept the high-powered Ole Miss offense in check, to the dismay of Rebels coach Lane Kiffin, and converted a crucial fourth down deep in their own end zone during their final drive to preserve the 20-17 lead.

Ole Miss had one last opportunity, but kicker Caden Davis missed a chance to tie the score with a 48-yard attempt that flew wide left of the goal.

“Just a tough, tough game,” coach Mark Stoops said after the game. “Proud of our coaches for staying the course…We played a little better every week…couldn’t be prouder of the effort. No matter what the result is, it matters because we have long valued improvement.”

Although No. 12 Michigan had a comfortable 24-3 lead over Minnesota in the third quarter, everything looked like a sure win. But the Golden Gophers mounted a late rally before Michigan ultimately won 27-24 in a game in front of 110,340 spectators.

Michigan dominated defensively, recording two turnovers, four sacks, eight tackles for loss and blocking a punt during the third quarter.

But Minnesota countered with three touchdowns in the fourth quarter, but ultimately failed due to a controversial referee decision in the last minute. The Gophers were penalized for offside, giving Michigan a reprieve in a critical situation.

After the thrilling victory, a standout Michigan defensive player commented, “Our defense played fantastic the whole game. We knew Minnesota was going to rush, but we stayed focused and made the key plays.”

Another important game between South Carolina and Florida is on the program.

Although both teams played strongly, the game ended in a 26-20 victory for South Carolina, who maintained their form throughout the sport.
