New building: Plus size shopping is made easy at the Curvect market

On Saturday, October 5th, the Curvect market invites you to browse again. Here the focus is on large sizes.

VIENNA/NEW BUILDING. Anyone who has tried it knows how difficult it can be to find clothes over size 46 in Vienna. Bobby Herrmann-Thurner, founder of the plus size blog magazine Curvect, is also aware of this.

That’s why she started the “Curvect Second Hand Market” a few years ago. Here, visitors can find second-hand plus size fashion that they cannot otherwise easily buy in Vienna. On Saturday, October 5th, the market will take place for the fifth time in the neighborhood center at Schottenfeldgasse 29.

Up to dress size 62

This time some plus size boutiques and designers are also represented. A special focus is placed on “slow fashion” and “fair fashion”. Clothing up to size 62 is also offered to visitors by 25 sellers.

But the market is not just about fashion. It is also intended to facilitate networking between fat people and to address the discrimination they encounter in all social classes and make it visible to the public.

The market starts at 10 a.m. and ends at around 3:30 p.m. Entry is free. You can just show up and don’t have to register in advance. All further information can be found at www.curvect.com.
