‘Gladiator II’ star teases fight between Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal

Gladiator 2 is just around the corner and everyone is looking forward to the clash between Pedro Pascal and Paul Mescal. Now one of the stars is teasing even more.

In conversation with IndieWireFred Hechinger said the fight scene between the two leads was “brutal” and added: “I can tell you it’s very exciting and I’m looking forward to people seeing it.” We’re about to elaborate on it a bit to show. So there’s a lot more to come soon.”

Reflecting his comments, the The Last of Us Star previously told Vanity Fair that he doesn’t want to do another fight scene with his co-star.

“He became so strong. I would rather be thrown out of a building than have to fight him again,” he said.

Pedro continued: “To compete against someone who is fit and talented and so much younger… It’s brutal, man. I call him Brick Wall Paul.”

On the other hand, Paul said he wanted to convey the image of a warrior.

“I just wanted to be big and strong and look like someone who could do some damage when the shit hits the fan,” he told the magazine.

“I also think that sometimes when you strive for the perfect look, you end up looking more like an underwear model than a warrior.”
