Horror news for the reigning champion!

Wide receiver Rashee Rice, who led the Kansas City Chiefs pass receivers with 288 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the first three days of the game, was unfortunately injured in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Curiously, the 24-year-old was even injured by his own teammate. After an interception by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Rice pursued Chargers cornerback Kristian Fulton, who was able to intercept the pass.

The star playmaker’s favorite passing station was even able to catch up with his opponent and knock the ball out of his hand, but was immediately cleared away by Mahomes, who had just started shoulder-first to tackle Fulton.

The 2023 second-round pick then had to be transported from the field in a medical cart.

As “ESPN” insider Adam Schefter reports, the Chiefs announced shortly afterwards that Rice had a knee injury and that the receiver would be out for the rest of the team.
