Google’s smartwatch operating system Wear an operating system It gives all users the opportunity to extensively customize the display on the smartwatch or to completely replace it with the watch faces. A lot of watch faces focus on displaying the time as elegantly or conspicuously as possible and perhaps integrating the current weather situation with a complication. Today we’re going to show you a watch face that puts the focus entirely on the weather and quickly makes the time a minor matter.

Most watch faces make it their mission to display the time as clearly as possible. In the best case scenario, some additional information such as the date or notifications will be added. The dial Weather Premium Watch Face Instead, it takes a completely different focus and focuses primarily on the weather. The current weather situation is not only displayed on the smartwatch display, but also determines the entire design of the interface.

The background colors of the main areas depend on both the weather and the time of day. In the upper area, the current weather situation is shown with a large icon, which, including the background, takes up exactly half of the display. Below that, in the second area, is the temperature, next to it the date and the location to which the weather refers, and only then can you find the current time at the bottom.

This looks chic and turns the smartwatch into a weather station. In the following screenshots and in the video embedded below you can see how the display adapts depending on the weather and what other viewing options are available?

The data is obtained either from OpenWeatherMap or Apple’s Dark Sky. If you want, you can select a location for the weather display or have it determined automatically using GPS and always have the weather forecasts for the current location displayed. There is also an ambient mode that reduces the display a lot, but in my opinion it really looks very chic.

The Watch Face is basically free to use and does not show any advertising on the smartwatch or smartphone. If you want a little more functionality, as can be seen in the screenshots above, you will be asked to pay a one-time fee of 2.90 euros. In return you get four additional viewing options with extensive forecasts. You can choose between the forecast for the next 10 hours in 2-hour increments, the forecast for the next 24 hours with lots of details and the forecast for the next five days.

Unfortunately, the Watch Face is no longer available in the Google Play Store – for reasons not mine. We therefore offer you the APK file for direct download and installation. Simply download the APK file, which comes from APKPure, and install it on your smartphone. The watch face should then appear on your smartwatch.
