Starting Monday, Lebanon will observe three days of national mourning for Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike. Mikati also ordered all public administrations, municipalities and public and private facilities to be closed on the day of Nasrallah’s funeral. The date of the funeral was not initially announced. At the same time, Mikati called on the Lebanese to put aside all political differences and concentrate on protecting their homeland. The country’s Sunni Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, condemned the “assassination” of Nasrallah by the “Zionist enemy that is committing massacres and genocides in Palestine and Lebanon,” according to NNA. He urges the various groups in Lebanon to show solidarity and cooperation.
