Here’s why the Denver Broncos’ victory over the New York Jets was crucial

The Denver Broncos have pulled off an upset in two consecutive weeks, both away from home, with their recent victory over the New York Jets. An 0-2 start to the season is never ideal, but the Broncos are now 2-2, which is crucial to their game plan.

The Broncos started with three of their first four road games, and when you break down the schedule, a 2-2 start with three of four road games isn’t a bad starting point. The Broncos are hitting .500 and are on their way home for back-to-back games against division opponents.

That’s one of the reasons this win at MetLife Stadium was so crucial. Division games are always tough and challenging Las Vegas Raiders And Los Angeles Chargers is never easy.

The Raiders were on a winning streak against the Broncos and the Chargers played strong defensively. After these next two AFC West home games, three of Denver’s next four will be on the road, punctuated by a road trip to New Orleans.

The trip to New Orleans will be full of emotions for Sean Payton and he would like to come away with a win. Hopefully the Broncos come into this game at least 3-3, but ideally they are 4-2 against the Raiders and Chargers over the next two weeks.

A 3-3 record against them New Orleans Saints puts more pressure on a win to protect themselves from going home to take it over Carolina Panthers with a losing record and a record of 4-4 after the first eight games.

Heading into the back nine of the season, the Broncos want to have at least a 5-3 record, especially in back-to-back road games against the Broncos Baltimore Ravens And Kansas City Chiefs in Weeks 9 and 10. Adding to the significance of a 5-3 start after the first eight games is the Broncos’ late bye week, which doesn’t begin until Week 14.

The importance of beating the Jets and getting to 2-2 is coming into focus, but the first quarter of the season featured three of the toughest defenses the Broncos have faced all year. The Jets haven’t been the toughest so far this season, but you can make a case for that Seattle Seahawks And Pittsburgh Steelers.

This may change in yards per game, but entering Week 4, the Seahawks and Steelers were the top two defenses in yards allowed per game, while the Jets were seventh. The Broncos will only face another top-10 defense twice this season – the Chargers.

Extending that to the top 16, the Broncos still have four games against three teams in the top half in yards allowed per game, including the Cleveland Browns And Cincinnati Bengals.

The Broncos’ young offense has been battle-tested over the last three weeks and they have a record of 2-2, which is great news. Things should get easier for Denver in the future, and we hope the end-of-season testing will lead to growth on the field.

If this offense can get stronger after the four-week challenges, the Broncos could be a tougher matchup as the season progresses, and they continue to build on things and grow together.
