The court also asked whether the laddus that served as the basis for the investigation had been sent for investigation. It was also noted whether it would not have been more appropriate to test them first before going public.

It went on to say that this was not the case prima facie Evidence that the ghee in question was used in making laddus.

“Should such a statement have been made that affects the feelings of believers? Why was it necessary to go to the press and make a public statement when the SIT was ordered? At least on the face of it, there is nothing to show, no concrete evidence to produce.” At this stage, it was found that the same ghee was used and procured when such statements are made by responsible officials. What impact will this have on the SIT?”

The senior lawyer informed the court of this Siddharth Luthrarepresenting Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) said that he had not answered the court’s questions on this aspect.

“You still haven’t responded. There is no evidence that ghee was used. These are processes designed to justify rejection and stop payment!”
