Thirteen months after the release, the time has come and Starfield is getting its first major expansion. Shattered Space lets us explore the brand new planet Va’ruun’kai and promises to be very different from the main game.

Release time: When exactly will Shattered Space be released?

In Germany you can watch Shattered Space starting September 30th at 5:00 p.m. local time play. This is revealed by the official release calendar, which also shows the times in other regions:

Preload: Can I pre-download the addon?

Apparently there is no preload on either the PC or the Xbox. You have to wait until the official release to download Shattered Space.

Download: How much do I need to download?

On Xbox, the size of the expansion is determined with 14 gigabytes specified. The download size on the PC is expected to differ only slightly.

Price: How much does the extension cost?

Shattered Space costs 30 euros. However, the expansion is also in the Premium Edition of Starfield. If you own this, Shattered Space is already in your library. However, if you play via Game Pass, you have to buy the expansion separately.

You can also buy the premium upgrade for Starfield for 35 euros. Then, in addition to the expansion, you will also receive a digital art book, some skins and 1,000 creation credits for the paid mods.

Requirements: When can I start the addon?

To get started with Shattered Space, all you have to do is complete the first main quest One small step have completed. However, the developers recommend using a character who is at least level 35.

To start the addon, all you have to do is grav-jump to an area that is not being used by a quest or an encounter. You then received an emergency call and discovered a space station.
