Chris Eubank Jr. next fight LIVE: Date, UK start time and how to watch as ‘Next Gen’ returns on the Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol undercard

Chris Eubank Jr will make his long-awaited return to boxing next weekend on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol.

“Next Gen” will look to regain momentum after a 13-month break from the sport against Polish fighter Kamil Szeremeta in Saudi Arabia.

Eubank Jr hasn’t laced up his gloves since September last year, when he avenged his loss to Liam Smith with a tenth-round stoppage.

The 35-year-old has since signed a partnership deal with BOXXER and appears to be becoming more active, having also put together a four-fight winning list including Canelo Alvarez, Terence Crawford, Conor Benn and a rematch with Billy Joe Saunders.

First, Eubank Jr. will take on potential Banana Peel opponent Szeremeta as he begins to prepare for a possible world title shot.

Szeremeta is undefeated in his last six outings, but his two career losses have come by knockout, which is a specialty of 24-time knockout king Eubank Jr.

This 12-round middleweight bout takes place on Saturday, October 12th.

The fight will take place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ring walk times for this fight are expected to be around 9pm UK time.

The card is expected to be shown live on TNT Sports and DAZN in the UK, but full broadcast details have not yet been announced.

Eubank Jr. vs. Szeremeta: What was said?

Ben Shalom has told talkSPORT that Eubank Jr will fight for the world middleweight title should he emerge victorious in this fight.

Speaking to talkSPORT’s talkBOXING podcast, Shalom said: “Unless he gets one of the biggest names we’ve talked about, be it Canelo, be it.” [Terence] Crawford if it’s Ben [Whittaker]whether Billy Joe Saunders… or Conor Benn…

“He needs to fight for a world title in his next fight and I totally agree with that.

“And we will do absolutely everything to make this happen. So unless it’s one of the big names with ridiculous money on the line, because that’s what Chris Eubank Jr. brings, then it has to be a world title.”
