UFC Lochen stays at the top of the table with a clear 3-0 win over UFC Riegerting – Football Upper Austria – results, tables and goal scorers from all Upper Austria leagues.

In yesterday’s meeting in the 1st Class South-West between UFC Riegerting and UFC Lochen, the guests ultimately prevailed 3-0. While the Lochners remain at the top of the table, the home team still has seven points in the table. The guests make ice-cold use of their opportunities and secure the deserved victory.

After an even start in which both teams tried to take control of the game, the first goal of the game came in the 39th minute. Christian Bamminger received a long ball from the Lochner goalkeeper and appeared alone in front of Riegerting’s goalkeeper Robin Ibinger. He cleverly went around the keeper and slotted in to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. Shortly beforehand, Lochen had already had a great chance when she was unable to head a header into the empty goal at the far post.

The Riegertinger team also had one or two opportunities to score their first goals in the first half. Paul Huber, among others, tried his luck from a tight angle in the 32nd minute, but his shot hit the near post. Just three minutes later, Michael Puttinger finished after a nice ball relay in the penalty area, but a defender was able to clear at the last moment. Feichtinger Jonas’ shot from 20 meters in the 37th minute was also placed too centrally and didn’t pose any major problems for the opposing goalkeeper. The half ended with a narrow lead for the Lochen team.

Lochen closes the bag

As soon as the second half started, the UFC Lochen struck again. In the 47th minute, a shot was initially parried, but Michael Schwab took advantage of the follow-up shot and made it 2-0. This goal put the hosts under pressure, who now pushed vehemently for the next goal. In the 56th minute, UFC Riegerting put a lot of pressure on Lochen’s defense, but the ball simply didn’t want to go into the goal.

Riegertinger’s fate was sealed when Dominik Schubert made it 3-0 for Lochen in the 69th minute after a pass from Julian Maislinger. Schubert remained ice cold in front of the goal and finally sealed the deal with his goal. Despite a few more chances for both teams – especially for the guests – the score remained unchanged. With the final whistle, UFC Lochen’s deserved 3-0 victory was certain. While the guests impressively demonstrated their efficiency in front of the goal, the UFC Riegerting failed to score despite many good attempts.
