Fifth person charged in connection with Michael Wheeler’s death

There are two related updates to this story

A fifth person has been charged as part of the murder investigation into the death of Michael Wheeler.

Angus Warner, 32, of Crewkerne, was charged with conspiracy to murder and appeared at Yeovil Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 27, where he was remanded in custody to face Bristol on Friday, October 25 Crown Court to appear.

Four more men have been charged with the murder of the 37-year-old from Yeovil, whose body was found at a property in Yarlington last week after he had not been seen for more than a month. All were also remanded in custody ahead of future court hearings.

During the course of our investigation, several additional people were arrested. Two men and a woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released under investigation, while a man arrested on suspicion of murder is on police bail.
