True crime from Baden-Württemberg: Couple murdered roommates

What happened?

Mike, Lisa and Jannik live together in a shared apartment in Laichingen. From the outside, the shared apartment appears to be unremarkable, but systematic abuse is taking place behind closed doors. Mike and Lisa originally come from North Rhine-Westphalia and have been lovers for seven years. Despite the separation, Mike lives with Lisa and her new boyfriend in a shared apartment. However, over weeks and months, Mike becomes a victim of psychological and physical violence. At work it is repeatedly noticed that Mike has injuries and complains of pain. Investigators later quickly determined that the lovers were using the 31-year-old man as a “personal servant.”
