The 20th season of Bauer sucht Frau starts today. Actually a reason to be happy – but the first hearts are broken in episode one. Farmer Paul meets three young women at the barn festival who really want to get to know him better. However, he only wants to take one of the candidates with him to the court week. He chooses kindergarten teacher Sarah, who enthusiastically accepts the offer. However, the two survivors are in a mood of crisis. Viola-Linnea seems dejected, Anna even bursts into tears and has to be comforted by presenter Inka Bause (55). “That really hurts”the 21-year-old sobs and admits that she has already fallen in love with Paul.

The rejection is a bitter disappointment for Viola-Linnea and Anna – after all, the two of them have put in a lot of effort. In order to win the 22-year-old’s heart, Viola-Linnea brought a bottle of schnapps and poured it straight to her sweetheart. Anna went one step further and unpacked her guitar. She received praise and applause with her interpretation of “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” by Whitney Houston (✝48). Before the tearful decision, Inka also noted with joy how harmonious the quartet seemed. “I just came in and heard you laughing so beautifully. This is what the barn festival should be like.”she enthused.

Whether Paul made the right decision and whether something develops between him and Sarah will become clear in the next episodes.
