Smart IKEA socket with electricity meter officially launches in Germany

IKEA is expanding its smart home range with a new smart plug. The device with the name “INSPELNING” was already available early in individual branches and has now officially gone on sale – it is also listed in the IKEA online shop. In Germany you can use the smart socket with an electricity meter 9.99 euros acquire.

A remote control or a motion detector can also be linked to the INSPELNING to switch the socket on or off. Up to 10 sockets can be connected to a remote control or a motion detector.

It should be noted that even if INSPELNING like TRETAKT can be easily connected to the Philips Hue system, that does not mean that the energy monitoring feature can then be used. A DIRIGERA hub is also initially required for full functionality.
