2024 MLB Playoffs Schedule: Game Times, Where to Watch Postseason Baseball, TV Channel, Live Stream, Dates

The 2024 Major League Baseball postseason is here. Fittingly, the baseball playoffs begin on October 1st this year. The four best-of-three wild card series (Tigers-Astros, Royals-Orioles, Mets-Brewers and Braves-Padres) take place this week, and the League Division Series quartet begins Saturday, October 5 .

The playoff round concluded on Monday when the Mets and Braves secured the final two spots with a doubleheader in Atlanta. The Mets face the Brewers in Milwaukee this week, while the Braves travel west to meet the Padres. Orioles-Royals and Astros-Tigers are the two wild card series in the American League. The Dodgers, Phillies, Yankees and Guardians all have a bye into the LDS round and will find out their opponents by Thursday night.

As a reminder, the 12-team playoff round is divided into four rounds. Eight teams will play in the best-of-three wild card series, with the numbers 3 and 4 in each league hosting the numbers 6 and 5 teams. The numbers 1 and 2 in each league will receive byes into the League Division Series, which begins on Saturday, October 5th.

The 2024 World Series begins on either Friday, October 25th or Tuesday, October 22nd. The start date will be moved up if both the ALCS and NLCS finish in five games or fewer.
