“You sold your face for 15 euros”

While hosting a tournament for EA FC 25, a verbal altercation broke out between two content creators after a game. The loser did not agree with the way his contract was played and accused him of losing face.

Which streamer is arguing? The altercation took place between Mert “Mert Abi” Ekşi and Mert “Maus Abi” Türkoglu.

Both participants were in the new edition of the Eligella Cup for FC 25, which is organized by the well-known streamer and influencer EliasN97. The winner of the cup can win prize money of €1,500.

In the preliminary round of the tournament they will meet their teams from the popular Ultimate Team mode.

This is how the game between the two streamers went: Maus took an early 1-0 lead. As a result, Mert increasingly dominated the game and created several good situations for the equalizer.

Then events come to a head. In the 67th minute, Mert equalized after a corner, before the Maus took the lead again two minutes later.

After that, Mert hardly had any chances to score. In the final minutes of the game, Maus managed his lead by repeatedly passing the ball back to the defender or goalkeeper without much risk.

In football and in EA FC, people like to talk about time play in this context. And that can be very frustrating for an opponent and provoke them badly.

How did the argument come about? Shortly after the final whistle, both players met in voice chat. Mert accused Maus of only winning with luck. But what’s even worse is that he would have to play for time.

This caused both tempers to suddenly become heated. Both took turns coming up with obscene insults for the other. Maus insisted that he was right as the winner, and with such a narrow lead that anyone would have played for time.

After both had completely insulted each other, Mert asked his opponent with the mouse what he would get out of the tournament, because he wouldn’t win any money anyway. A maximum of one Uber voucher worth 15 euros.

He also accuses the mouse of losing face. He couldn’t look him in the eyes the next time they met.

Why does Maus sell a friendship for 15 euros? As the argument progresses, it becomes clear that both streamers have known each other since childhood and have been friends for more than 25 years.

This is also why Mert is so bothered by Maus’ style of play, because he would put success above the friendship between the two. He repeatedly questions what the time game would bring because he doesn’t trust his friend to go far in the tournament.

Instead, Maus tried to justify his style of play with his victory. The two disputers do not agree on this point. Only when another streamer joins the conversation does the tense atmosphere slowly dissipate.
