Police officers found 30 pieces of Bengal fire in a car before yesterday’s CL match between Salzburg and Brest. Some Bengalos were set on fire during the fan march, and the police reported several people and collected fines.

From the perspective of the Salzburg police, the Champions League match between Red Bull Salzburg and Stade Brest on Tuesday was calm. The officials were mainly concerned with Bengal fires. Even before the match, a car was checked in downtown Salzburg and 30 Bengalos were discovered in it. A security deposit of 150 euros was collected from the driver, a 44-year-old Frenchman, the police reported in a broadcast on Wednesday.

Bengalos detonated during fan march

Bengalos were set on fire during the fan march from Martin-Luther-Platz in Salzburg-Taxham to the stadium in Kleßheim. Two Frenchmen, aged 33 and 38, were reported and fined 150 euros each. There were also two reports of breach of decorum.

A shuttle bus was also damaged. Plastic covers were torn down inside. According to the police, the damage amounts to 600 euros, and there is no information about the perpetrators. A 22-year-old security employee was reported because he smoked a joint at the stadium.
