Redesigned Fire HD 8 now available

Amazon quickly discounted its entire range of hardware in the display. Now there is even “new” hardware with the revised Fire HD 8. The new model still comes with an 8-inch HD display, hexa-core processor, reinforced aluminum-silicate glass and a battery life of up to 13 hours. Additionally, the Fire HD 8 now features an improved 5-megapixel rear camera and 50% more RAM than the previous model for better performance in streaming, gaming and more, Amazon says.

Customers can choose between 3GB RAM and 32GB storage or 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The new Fire HD 8 is available from 114.99 euros in the colors black, emerald and hibiscus. The updated Fire HD 8 Kids is available for 159.99 euros with a child-resistant case in blue or purple. A model with an exclusive case in a Disney princess design is also available for 169.99 euros.

The Fire HD 8 Kids Pro is available for 159.99 euros with a child-friendly case in a lion design or in teal. A model with an exclusive case in the Marvel Avengers design is also available for 169.99 euros. All variants are available now. At launch, Fire HD 8 Kids and Fire HD 8 Kids Pro are available at an introductory price starting at 94.99 euros.
