Historical

Am October 3, 1939 became the one at that time Landeck High School – today’s BRG/BORG – opened with two classes in the Landeck secondary school building. At that time, 49 male and 12 female students attended the school. There was a state-run student hostel attached, which was housed in what is now the Capuchin monastery in Perjen. During the Second World War, the school moved to the building of the dissolved teachers’ training college in the motherhouse of the Sisters of Mercy in Zams. After the war, the school had to move back to the Landeck secondary school. In March 1948 the school of the Republic of Austria was declared a state educational institution with the title “Federal secondary school in Landeck”. The school’s temporary accommodation should soon be completed with the construction of a new building. The inauguration of the new building took place in September 1956.

Weather
