“Lindenhofareal” project started: What should become of the Lindenhof in Eggenburg?

The municipality of Vienna, as the owner of the Lindenhof, informed the municipality of Eggenburg in June 2024 that it intended to sell the Lindenhof. The entire area is affected, including the event hall.

The municipality of Eggenburg now finally has the opportunity to secure the 4 hectare urban area near the center for Eggenburg.

Funding for “land recycling” was applied for

In collaboration with the architect DI Elisabeth Schuh ZT GmbH, funding for “surface recycling” was applied for. This funding offers the city of Eggenburg the last chance to have a well-founded development concept drawn up with realistic usage variants. The development concept is intended to help you make a purchase decision and, if necessary, find interested investors.

Together, the “Lindenhof” should be revitalized in the long term and help to slow down or even stop the consumption of land on the outskirts of Eggenburg.

What happens next?

The next step in terms of content will take place on Saturday, November 16th, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In a dialogue process, possible uses will be discussed with you Developed and discussed for you Eggenburg residents, interested parties and supporters.

What will become of it?

Future use is still open.
