Delta Air Lines increases flight schedule for summer 2025 from Atlanta

Delta Air Lines increases flight schedule for summer 2025 from Atlanta

Delta Air Lines has released its summer 2025 schedule, and it’s robust, to say the least, from its home airport in Atlanta.

We’re talking nearly 1,000 daily flights from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport alone and more than a million seats per week.

That’s an increase of 75 daily departures compared to last summer.

“As home to the busiest and most efficient airport in the world, Atlanta’s position as a global leader in cultural and business connectivity will only be strengthened by Delta’s expansion of its domestic and international network,” said Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens. “As our hometown airline and the state’s largest private employer, Delta plays an important role in our economy through job opportunities, community investments and meaningful partnerships.”

Delta’s international footprint from Atlanta also continues to grow, now covering 66 international destinations around the world, including recently announced new routes to Naples and Brussels, as well as increased flights to Rome, Zurich, Barcelona, Athens, Cancun and Toronto, as well as Barbados and Curacao .

There is also an increase of nine percent in premium seats compared to the previous year.

Over the last decade, Delta has invested more than $12 billion to modernize and expand its network from hubs to state-of-the-art facilities. In Atlanta, Delta contributed significantly to the airport’s $10.8 billion redevelopment program.

Talk about taking care of your hometown.

There are 56 markets with eight or more daily flights from ATL.

“Delta is having a positive impact statewide – tourism in Georgia creates jobs and opportunities from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Golden Isles, including generating record $5 billion in tax revenue in 2023,” said Pat Wilson, commissioner of Georgia Department of Economic Development. “The connectivity provided by Delta also supports the increase in business travel, which increased by nearly 10 million travelers year-over-year and more than $1 billion in spending in 2023.”

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady recently sat down with Delta to discuss the airline’s culture.
