Biden adviser claims President was hurt because Harris distanced himself from him; Her campaign manager says: “No interest in…”

US President Joe Biden has reportedly told his close allies that he feels “left behind” as his fellow Democrats support their new presidential candidate Kamala Harris in her election campaign against Donald Trump.

Biden made the historic decision to withdraw from the 2024 race in July after facing intense pressure from his party following his poor performance in the debate against Trump in June. Shortly thereafter, he endorsed the vice president for the role, who accepted the nomination unopposed

However, 12 government insiders told Independent UK that the president felt his achievements in the White House were now being overlooked, leaving him with “very complex” feelings about the outcome of the summer’s events.

Biden also mentioned that Harris no longer mentions him in her campaign speeches.

Meanwhile, a campaign official defended Harris, as Independent UK reported: “We need to tell people who she is and what she would do.” There was no real interest in hearing about it [Biden’s] Running successes. That’s still the case.”

The president’s advisers said that one line “particularly stood out” to him during her debate against Trump in which she said, “I’m clearly not Joe Biden.” And I’m certainly not Donald Trump,” she said. “And what I offer is a new generation of leadership for our country.”

The Biden-Harris equation

Meanwhile, the White House responded to the claims: “President Biden welcomes the American people’s strong response to Vice President Harris’ leadership and to policies that move us into the future, away from dangerous agendas of the past like MAGA-nomics and. “Abortion bans.”

On the other hand, a person close to Harris told NBC, “She idolizes the president. She’s proud of the record they have.”
