Hetzner starts with S3-compatible object storage

Hetzner starts with S3-compatible object storage

Hetzner, known as one of the leading server hosting providers, has launched another significant project with its new Object Storage service. This cloud storage offers a flexible and scalable solution for storing large amounts of data and is particularly aimed at developers and companies. What’s special is that Hetzner’s Object Storage is fully S3 compatible, meaning users can easily integrate their existing applications and tools that use Amazon’s S3 protocol. This enables seamless migration and use without requiring any adjustments to the system.

Beta for Object Storage

Among other things, S3 storage can be used to back up NAS systems externally, which is a great advantage for many companies. The new Object Storage service is currently still in beta. Users of the Hetzner Cloud have the opportunity to test the scalable storage solution. A positive aspect is the seamless integration of the S3 protocol, which means existing tools and workflows can be used without adjustments.

In addition, the in-house developers have developed a new interface for the Hetzner Cloud Console, which now offers a clear overview of all important resources and locations. This makes Hetzner significantly easier to manage its cloud services, meaning users can benefit from a more efficient way of working.
