According to the catwalk, these boots will be trendy in autumn/winter 2024

Boot trends for fall/winter 2024: These are the six hottest models.

Beyond the classic silhouettes (which of course will always exist), a universe full of possibilities opens up when it comes to boot trends for autumn/winter 2024. This season, designers are making a cheerful statement against the dreary weather with eye-catching patterns and vibrant principles.

These are the 6 boot trends for fall/winter 2024 – according to the catwalk

In addition to the tried and tested riding boots and biker boots, new unusual designs are now appearing on the scene – such as suede boots in the style of the 70s, fluffy fake fur boots and cherry red ankle boots. VOGUE reveals below which models were particularly prominent on this year’s catwalks (and how to style them).

#1 Suede boots

If you haven’t given up on the boho aesthetic in the cooler months, you should opt for suede boots in the style of the 1970s. Soft textures in colors like beige or brown make this look an eye-catcher. Chanel and Private Policy have already shown their own versions. Chanel went for the slouchy look and a cooler tone, while Private Policy chose a warmer shade and paired them with matching knee socks for endless legs.

#2 Boots with fake fur

The shoes with fluffy faux fur uppers, which were seen on the runway mainly in white and black, embody the most striking boot trend of the season. Able to soothe the low temperatures like no other garment, they will certainly soon be among the most seen. At the shows, the fake fur boots were mainly combined with short skirts and dresses, which drew all attention to the shoes. William Fan, on the other hand, held back and showed that she could also look good with a long trench coat.

#3 Classic (black) boots

Even though fall/winter 2024 leaves a lot of room for creativity, there are classics that will outlast the trends. These include the classic black boots, which will once again become an indispensable element in our wardrobe this season. After all, they go with all colors and styles. Brands such as Prada, Acne Studios, Gucci and Louis Vuitton included them in their latest collections.

#4 Red ankle boots

Flat dark red ankle boots provide the color accent (and the associated dopamine kick) in autumn/winter 2024. Stella McCartney paired it with a patterned maxi dress on the runway, just like Burberry.

#5 Leopard print boots

Leopard print is everywhere right now, on jackets, bags, gloves – and now boots too. Versace uses it to spice up simple and dark outfits, while Marni, in keeping with the motto “more is more”, goes for a total look with leopard print.

#6 Biker boots

The boots inspired by motorcyclists, also known as biker boots, are among the most casual and comfortable models ever. These celebrated their comeback last year, but will remain with us this season, as Loewe and Coperni proved. According to Runway, the robust all-rounders in black and with silver buckles are often combined with feminine balloon dresses or elegant oversized blazers – creating a cool contrast.
