The Spartanburg Co. coroner identifies the victim of an early morning shooting

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of a shooting that occurred Sunday morning after officers were called to investigate a burglary.

The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a call at 2 a.m. Sunday morning about a burglary in progress on Parris Bridge Road.

One victim was found at the scene with gunshot wounds and taken to a local medical facility, officials said.

The Spartanburg County Coroner reported that the victim died at 3:59 a.m. in the operating room at Spartanburg Regional and identified him as 34-year-old Steven Joshua King.

According to officials, other people were also at the scene of the shooting and were arrested.
