These are the leaks for the M4 MacBook Pro

Many Apple fans are excited about what the next generation of MacBook Pro with M4 SoC will contain. Of course, there is no official confirmation from Apple yet – this only comes when the devices are presented – but there are already a number of leaks and reports from analysts, as our colleagues at 9to5Mac report.

At the center of these rumors is the highly anticipated M4 chip in the Pro and Pro-Max versions. The iPad Pro already had an M4 built in, but that was the base model.

For the regular MacBook Pro, the M4 is said to come with a 10-core CPU, which would be a step up from the M3’s 8-core configuration. This increase in computing power could lead to a performance increase of 20-25% compared to the current generation – that would be clearly noticeable.

According to previous reports, Apple will double the RAM of the base model, so that 16 GB of RAM will always be on board in the future.

A trio of Thunderbolts and a hint of darkness

The potential disadvantages are not limited to the internal values. Leaked information based on packaging labeling indicates an expansion of connection options: Even the basic model of the M4 MacBook Pro has three Thunderbolt ports.

Aesthetically, Apple could be embracing the dark side – in the best way possible. The elegant Space Black version, which was previously reserved for the higher models, could now adorn the entire M4 MacBook Pro series.

What is still completely open are the M4 configurations of the Pro and the Pro Max variant. As before, Apple is likely to install significantly more processor and graphics cores and implement faster data exchange with the memory.

A very recent report suggested an Apple event at the end of October. The new MacBook Pro should be available in stores on November 1st. We are not only excited about the technical features, but also about the prices that Apple will charge for the new generation.

And now until it’s your turn

What do you think – will Apple increase prices for the MacBook Pro range or leave them at the same level as the M3 series? Feel free to write something about it in the comment fields below this message.
