Star attracts negative attention again with an obscene gesture

Daniil Medvedev caused a new excitement with his success in the round of 32 at the Masters tournament in Shanghai against the Italian Matteo Arnaldi (5:7, 6:4, 6:4).

The Russian not only had to struggle with the Italian Arnaldi, but also with the balls. Medvedev’s dissatisfaction with the quality of the balls was evident throughout the game.

After just over an hour of play, Medvedev caused the scandal of the game. In protest at the poor quality of the balls, the Russian quickly wiped his bottom with them.

Of course, this gesture did not go unnoticed and Medvedev then received two warnings and then a loss of points.

“They chose those who create power out of nothing,” the experienced 28-year-old tennis player said after the match, underscoring his frustration.

The Russian showed his dissatisfaction with the material of the balls when the winner signed a disc in front of the TV cameras. He left clear words to the tournament organization.

He replaced his signature on the camera with the provocative words: “Nice Balls.”

Medvedev, who won this tournament in the final against Alexander Zverev in 2019, will face the winner of the duel between the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas and the French Alexandre Müller in the round of 16.

Most recently, Medvedev caused unpleasant scenes at the Laver Cup in Berlin. During a match he threw his racket into the audience.
