Union Eggerding wins 3-1 over UFC Eferding 1b – Football Upper Austria – results, tables and goal scorers from all Upper Austria leagues.

In an exciting match 2nd class West-North presented himself Union Eggerding with a deserved one 3:1 against the guests of Eferding UFC 1b through. The home team showed their dominance over long stretches, while the guests from Eferding were only able to build up pressure at times. The home team’s goals were scored by Florian Pirimeyer, Julian Leingartner and Gabriel Schustereder, while an own goal brought the guests the equalizer.

Behavioral start – exciting end to round one

The game started with a slight advantage for the hosts from Eggerding. The Black and Whites had already taken a decisive lead in the 14th minute, but the goal was disallowed due to a previous foul. But in the 29th minute, Florian Pirimeyer managed to put Eggerdinger in the lead. With an impressive individual move on the left wing, he went around the goalkeeper Kilian Schörflinger and scored from an acute angle to make it 1-0.

The joy didn’t last long, however, as the guests equalized in the 36th minute with an unfortunate own goal from Stefan Schachl. A ball from the right side found Simon Litzlbauer in the penalty area, but he missed miserably, which surprised the Eggerdinger to direct the ball into his own goal. Nevertheless, Union Eggerding was not deterred and restored the lead shortly before half-time through Julian Leingartner. After a corner that was only inadequately cleared, Leingartner took his chance and hit the far corner to make it 2-1.

Decision made by player-coach Schustereder

In the second half, Union Eggerding remained the dominant team, even though Eferding tried everything to equalize in the last few minutes. The Eggerdingers controlled the game, but were unable to extend their lead because the exploitation of their chances left a lot to be desired. The decision was only made in the 85th minute by substitute player-coach Gabriel Schustereder. After a lucky pass at the top, Schustereder took his chance and turned his left foot into the right corner to make it 3-1. The final minutes of the game were marked by the visitors’ desperate efforts to get closer. With the final whistle in the 90th minute, Union Eggerding’s deserved 3-1 victory was certain, which meant they were able to secure important points in the fight for the top places in the table.
