Which Amazon Fire TV Stick is right for you?

Before you jump on Prime Day, you should ask yourself the following question:

  • What do I use the Fire TV Stick for?

The application scenarios are diverse. From making the bedroom TV smart, to streaming as high as possible, to expanding the audio stage, everything is possible.

When should you use the Fire TV Stick Lite?

The Fire TV Stick Lite is the cheapest and technically simplest version of the player. In comparison to the standard version, you do without Dolby Atmos and the option of being able to control your television with the stick’s remote control.

A possible application Would be to make the TV in the bedroom smart.

Use the Fire TV Stick Lite if:

  • You want to make your TV smart as cheaply as possible.
  • You don’t have an audio device that can handle Dolby Atmos.
  • Your TV cannot be controlled with the stick’s remote control.
  • You don’t mind the Full HD resolution.
  • You don’t value Xbox GamePass.

When should you use the Fire TV Stick Standard?

The standard version is very similar to the Lite version, but also comes with Dolby Atmos and the ability to control the TV yourself using the stick’s remote control.

A possible application It would be to upgrade the home cinema in the living room a little or to relieve the TV of the computing work for software.

Use the Fire TV Stick Standard if:

  • You have an audio device (e.g. a soundbar) that also outputs Dolby Atmos signals.
  • There should be no additional remote control for the TV and stick.
  • You don’t mind the Full HD resolution.
  • You don’t value Xbox GamePass.

When should you use the Fire TV Stick 4K?

A possible application Would be if you don’t want to miss out on 4K resolution on your TV or are an Xbox GamePass user.

Choose the Fire TV Stick 4K if:

  • 4K resolution is important to you.
  • You are an Xbox GamePass user.
  • You would like to do without additional features.
  • You appreciate slightly faster processor performance.

When should you use the Fire TV Stick 4K Max?

  • Double internal memory
  • WiFi 6E standard
  • Picture-in-picture mode for surveillance cameras
  • Ambient TV to use the TV as a passive screen.

  • You have a smart home that benefits from exclusive smart home features.
  • You want to use the fastest wireless connection to your router.
  • You want to be on the safe (and fast) side technically.
