New musical “Blind Date” celebrates its premiere

The Dutch musical “Blind Date” is being performed in German for the first time in Berlin. The producer and actress Lara-Antonia Heine was able to acquire the performance rights and is bringing the piece to the Hellersdorf theater “Green Stage – Artist Heart”, as the Marzahn-Hellersdorf Zeitung reported. The roles are played by Dennis Weissert and Olivia-Patrizia Kunze. The musical will be performed from October 17th to 20th and November 7th to 10th.

The story of the musical, written by Allard Blom, with music by Sam Verhoeven, revolves around Jan and Meli. In the world of online dating, the two become entangled in a maelstrom of disappointed hopes and misunderstandings. Despite numerous embarrassing situations, they dare to go on another adventure to find true love.

Director Holger Hauer and musical director Bijan Azadian are responsible for ensuring that the challenges and humor of “Blind Date” come to the fore. The Hellersdorf Theater provides the backdrop for this independent production. Tickets can be purchased here from 35 euros.
