Dresden – Late on Saturday evening there was a major police operation in Dresden Neustadt. The reason was a fight. A 23-year-old had to be taken to hospital.

As a spokesman for the Dresden police confirmed in response to a TAG24 request, there was an attack on three people in the area of ​​the Artesian Well on Albertplatz around 11:15 p.m.

The police were on site with several cars. The emergency services also arrived.

According to current investigations, the 23-year-old Tunisian got into an argument with several men. This eventually escalated and the group of 20 Arabic speakers attacked him and his companions and beat them. According to investigators, the perpetrators were probably Syrians.

The 23-year-old suffered cuts in the incident and was taken to hospital. His companions – a 27-year-old Tunisian and his German girlfriend (20) – remained uninjured.

The perpetrator was able to escape before the police arrived.
