Police are searching for the suspect who injured a man at the Herndon Mall

A man is injured after being shot at a mall in Herndon, Virginia, and police are searching for a 25-year-old believed to be connected to Sunday’s shooting.

A man is injured after being shot at the Worldgate Shopping Center in Herndon, Virginia, and police are searching for a 25-year-old believed to be connected to Sunday’s shooting.

Herndon police said an officer was on patrol in the area of ​​Worldgate Drive and Elden Street around 7:40 p.m. when he heard suspected gunshots.

He approached the Worldgate Center and saw a vehicle speeding away. The officer followed the vehicle to the Dulles Toll Road but eventually lost sight of it.

Police received a call about a man with multiple gunshot wounds in the mall parking lot. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but his condition is stable, police said.

Police are searching for Mohamed Abdalla, who is wanted in connection with an attack with a firearm at the shooting center. Anyone who sees Abdalla is asked by police to call 911.
