The Wittelsbach Tennis Club celebrated a successful end to the season with its traditional final tournament on the last weekend in September. This year the number of participants was slightly lower than usual at 20 players, but this did not affect the atmosphere or the level of sport. The sports marshals Nico Bartelt and Peter Thurner ensure that everything runs smoothly with a perfectly organized tournament structure. Six rounds of 30 minutes each were played, with each doubles having a new composition – no player competed with the same partner twice. It was particularly pleasing to see the participation of some women who shone with impressive performances. Whether as a mixed pair or in pure women’s doubles – they deliver exciting duels and show that they are in no way inferior to the pure men’s pairings. Overall, the matches were hard-fought, and every point was fought for on equal terms.

Your physical well-being was well taken care of. The men 60, under the proven leadership of Hubert Kreutmayr and Herbert Mair, took care of the catering for the participants and spectators. In the evening there was a final dinner! There was sliced meat, spaetzle and vegetables, which rounded off the day perfectly. This gave everyone an opportunity to review the eventful hours in a convivial atmosphere. From a sporting perspective, the tournament was also a complete success. In the men’s category, Mario Lasnig secured the place, while his brother Daniel Lasnig and Peter Thurner shared first place with the same number of wins and points. In the women’s category, Christine Kreutmayr took third place, Alina Schlötzer took second place and Silvia Seideneder secured the tournament victory.
