In a high-scoring match in the Weinviertel district class, the UFC Gnadendorf won against SC Prinzendorf with a convincing 5:2 in front of around 40 spectators. Despite a dynamic game from both sides, the Gnadendorfers managed to win the game. Both teams showed determination from the start, but the hosts used their chances more effectively and secured victory.

Gnadendorf takes the lead

The game started with a powerful performance by the Prinzendorf sports club, but it was the Gnadendorfers who scored the first goal in the 31st minute. Jakob Mayer converted an opportunity to make it 1-0 and thus sent a clear signal. Despite the lead, the Prinzendorfers did not remain idle and tried to equalize. Shortly after halftime, in the 48th minute, Michal Kourilek scored the equalizer to make it 1-1. This goal seemed to give the visitors new impetus.

But the response from the Union Football Club Gnadendorf was not long in coming. In the 53rd minute, Filip Holcapek gave the hosts the lead again with a penalty, whereby he safely sank the ball into the net. The renewed lead gave the Gnadendorfers additional self-confidence, which they showed impressively. Just three minutes later, in the 56th minute, Holcapek increased the score to 3-1 with another goal. This seemed to break the resistance of the Prinzendorf sports club, and the UFC Gnadendorf took the opportunity to further extend its lead.

Gnadendorf secures victory

In the 64th minute it was Filip Holcapek again who completed his hat trick and made it 4-1. Again he was able to safely convert a penalty. The Union Football Club Gnadendorf now dominated the game and left the guests little room to develop. Six minutes later, Jakob Mayer crowned his strong performance with another goal, making it 5-1 in the 67th minute. This comfortable lead made the Gnadendorf team’s victory more and more likely.

However, SC Prinzendorf showed fighting spirit and did not give in without a fight. In the 89th minute, Jakub Gois scored another goal for the guests, sealing the final score of 5:2. But the goal came too late to avert the impending defeat. Finally, the referee ended the party and the Union Football Club Gnadendorf celebrated a deserved victory.

This exciting game in the 9th round once again showed the strengths of UFC Gnadendorf, who were able to fully exploit their home advantage, while SC Prinzendorf had to travel home empty-handed despite a committed performance. With this success, the Gnadendorfers have consolidated their position in the Weinviertel district class and are confident about the challenges ahead.
