Windows apps on Android: How to install any program

The app is installed and the environment for Windows programs is set up, all that is missing are the programs themselves. Unfortunately, games are not available via a convenient Steam connection.

DRM-free games can be downloaded via GOG Galaxy, for example. You can use the client to back up games on Windows and then move them to the downloads folder on the smartphone. The same procedure also applies to other programs.

Then start a container in Winlator and open the game or program via the D drive. You can then install the software via the setup file and then run it.

Does it always work perfectly? No, it may be that the program stutters or the control is too imprecise. In these cases, you can adjust the containers or Winlator’s “Settings”.

To start Windows programs more conveniently, you can create shortcuts to EXE files. They then appear in the menu under “Shortcuts” in Winlator.
