UFC Miesenbach narrowly wins against USV Hofkirchen – Zink with the winning goal – Football Styria – Results, tables and goal scorers from all STMK leagues.

In a competitive game of 1st Class South/East A presented himself UFC Miesenbach with 3:2 against USV Hofkirchen through. The home team took the lead early on and extended it in the first half. But the guests fought back in the second half, equalized and created tension. In the end it was Christoph Zink who scored the decisive goal and secured Miesenbach the victory.

Early lead for Miesenbach – the favorite leads 2-0 at the break

UFC Miesenbach got off to a lightning start and took the lead in the 4th minute through Markus Friess. The goal came after a spectacular solo run from Daniel Pötz, who then passed it to Samuel Pöllabauer, who in turn served Friess perfectly. This early goal set the tone for a committed first half from the home team.

Miesenbach’s team kept up the pressure and were rewarded again in the 31st minute. Daniel Pötz, who celebrated his comeback after a knee injury, increased the score to 2-0. Pötz showed his full class and was a constant source of trouble for the Hofkirchen defense. Miesenbach went into the half-time break with this comfortable lead.

Hofkirchen catches up

After the break, USV Hofkirchen came out of the locker room with renewed vigor. In the 58th minute, Paul Josef Janser made it 2-1 and initiated an exciting comeback. Just four minutes later, Rene Strahlhofer equalized to make it 2-2. The guests now had the upper hand and were pushing for the opening goal.

But Miesenbach showed morale and withstood the pressure. In the 70th minute, Christoph Zink struck for the home team. After an intense period of play, he scored the decisive 3:2 for UFC Miesenbach, much to the delight of the home fans. Despite Hofkirchen’s efforts to come back, this result remained the same.

The final whistle sounded after 90 exciting minutes and sealed the narrow but deserved victory for UFC Miesenbach. With this success, the presenters secured important points in the current season and impressively demonstrated that they can retain the upper hand even in tricky situations.
