‘Mental patient’ arrested for murder of his family driver in Rahiya desert

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: The Criminal Security Sector, through the Jahra Governorate Investigation Department, has arrested a suspect linked to premeditated murder after receiving a report of a person discarding blood-stained clothing in a landfill.

According to the Interior Ministry, search and investigation teams intensified their efforts to investigate the incident. A review of surveillance footage revealed that the driver of a vehicle was responsible for disposing of the bloody clothing. Tracing the vehicle’s route led investigators to the suspect, with traces of blood being discovered inside the vehicle, leading to the suspect’s arrest.

During investigation, the suspect confessed to killing the victim and dumping the body in a deserted area near Amghara scrapyard. He also gave clues to the location of the victim’s remains, which were found to belong to a man who worked as a house driver.

A case number 59/2024 Saad Al-Abdullah Felonies (intentional murder) was filed and the suspect was referred to the relevant authorities.
