Media: The DFB team also lacks space – Gosens is moving up

It is probably the fourth short-term loss for national coach Julian Nagelsmann. The DFB has not yet confirmed this.

Cologne – National coach Julian Nagelsmann has to reschedule personnel for the first time for the upcoming Nations League games. According to reports from Bild-Zeitung and Sky, full-back David Raum from RB Leipzig is out injured; Robin Gosens will probably replace the 26-year-old. The German Football Association (DFB) did not confirm this on Monday evening when asked by SID.

After Robin Koch, Jamal Musiala (both hip) and Kai Havertz (knee), Raum would be the fourth national player who will not be available at short notice for the games in Bosnia and Herzegovina and against the Netherlands. It was already clear that goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen (patellar tendon) and striker Niclas Füllkrug (Achilles tendon) would be missing.

Koch’s rejection reached Nagelsmann earlier on Monday, and the national coach nominated offensive player Kevin Schade for the central defender. It would be the first call-up for Gosens since October 2023. At that time, he played his 20th and last international match during the trip to the USA in a 2-2 draw against Mexico.
