Amazon offers a lucrative deal on Prime Deal Days. Instead of the current street price of 224.90 euros, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro is available for just 174 euros. The model is no longer the latest smartwatch from the South Korean manufacturer, but the older smartwatch is still worthwhile for athletes due to its many functions.

Of course, the Watch 5 Pro also has some noticeable weaknesses that were also present in its previous models. What’s particularly serious for anyone who doesn’t own a Samsung cell phone is that the watch can only be used to a limited extent without one. In addition, the use of two accounts to use all functions is also required with a Samsung cell phone.

Ultimately, however, it can be said that it is a very successful and extensive upgrade compared to the previous model in key points. In comparison, the innovations in the successors (Watch 6, 7 and Ultra) were less comprehensive.

So the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro can still be said to be a more than smokeable smartwatch that can continue to meet today’s demands. If you’re not looking for the latest high-end device, but are still happy with a slightly older model, you’ll get your money’s worth here.

Buying the Watch 5 Pro is only recommended if it is offered at a particularly low price, otherwise the difference to the current Watch 6 is relatively small.
