Coca-Cola fans were divided as the company reintroduced the festive flavor | Great Britain | News

There’s already festive fever at soft drinks giant Coca-Cola, which has relaunched its seasonal Christmas treat at Tesco.

Cinnamon Coca-Cola Zero Sugar is back on supermarket shelves, some four years after its last appearance. The two-litre bottles were spotted by an eagle-eyed shopper and sparked an online debate after a snap of the drink was shared on the New Foods UK Facebook page.

Fans remembered the drink’s unique Christmas spice, which sparked great anticipation. One Coca-Cola fan wrote: “I like the cinnamon flavored Coke, although I think it only comes out around this time of year at Christmas and then disappears.”

Another Facebook user chimed in: “Nice thing, wish it was available all year round.” Echoes of urgency filled the air as a third person exclaimed: “This isn’t a practice! I need it!” While a fourth elaborated on its tempting taste: “It’s not for everyone but I really like it once I’ve had it. Coca-Cola with an aftertaste of cinnamon, not too strong either.”

However, critics were quick to express their doubts and denigrate Coca-Cola’s bold move. One person said: “Who comes up with the flavors? I mean, cola is fine with lemon and lime and vanilla and cherry, but cinnamon? Not something I would want to try, doesn’t sound tempting.”

A second skeptic shared: “I’m not sure I want to try Cinnamon Coke, I don’t like it. I wish Coke Cola would bring back the Diet Vanilla Coke, that was delicious.”

Meanwhile, another person recalled sitting on the fence: “Oh, I remember that. It only came out a year ago. I tried it, it was fine, nothing special. It’s nice to see it coming back. Maybe I’ll try it again just to see if the favorite has changed.

Elsewhere, other Coca-Cola lovers expressed their disappointment at the drink’s sugar-free formula. One angry fan asked: “Why does Coca-Cola insist it has no sugar when it’s flavored?” Coke Zero is terrible!” Another replied: “Why Zero? I can’t stand it and I can’t stand Diet Coke either. When I drink Coca-Cola, it’s always the full-fat original.”

If you want to try it for yourself, Cinnamon Coca-Cola is only available at Tesco and costs £1.85 per two liter bottle. This is in line with the price of the brand’s entire Zero range, which also includes the regular Zero, Zero Caffeine Free, No Lemon and No Cherry.

Last month, Coca-Cola was forced to apologize to fans after announcing the discontinuation of its Zero Vanilla flavor, disappointing many.
