M4 MacBook Pro Leak Reveals Key Features Ahead of November Release

M4 MacBook Pro Leak Reveals Key Features Ahead of November Release

Apple’s upcoming M4 MacBook Pro is making headlines for all the wrong reasons, with leaks about the device appearing weeks before its official launch. In one of the most serious breaches in the company’s recent history, videos and images of the M4 MacBook Pro were leaked online, giving the tech world a taste of what’s to come. The leaks, which came from Russian YouTubers, have sparked widespread speculation about the device’s features and its expected November release date.

The first signs of trouble emerged when a video appeared online over the weekend purporting to show the unboxing of an M4 MacBook Pro. The unboxing video posted by Russian YouTuber Wylsacom revealed several new features to the base model, including the new M4 chip, 16GB of RAM and three Thunderbolt 4 ports. What caught the attention of tech enthusiasts was the authenticity of the device, which matched Geekbench’s benchmark records and suggested that the laptop is indeed a genuine Apple product.

A second leak quickly followed when another Russian YouTuber, Romancev768, posted a similar unboxing video on Monday. This video included a closer look at the device’s “About This Mac” screen, which identified the laptop as a November 2024 model, adding additional weight to rumors that Apple is planning to release the M4 MacBook Pro next month. This information matches the predictions of Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who reported that Apple is preparing to unveil the new M4 Macs and an updated iPad Mini on November 1st.

The leaks have not only provided a glimpse of the device but also hinted at its potential market availability. According to reports, the seller, who somehow got hold of a stock of M4 MacBook Pro, has put around 200 units up for sale in a private Facebook group. This unauthorized access to unreleased Apple hardware is unusual for the company known for tightly controlling its product releases.

According to Gurman, Apple’s upcoming launch will include several new MacBook Pro variants, a redesigned Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro chips, and an updated iMac. These devices are expected to feature significant improvements in processing power thanks to the new M4 chip introduced in the iPad Pro earlier this year. The leaks suggest that the 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro will come in the new Space Black color, previously reserved for the 16-inch models, and with a 10-core M4 chip and 512GB memory will begin.

While the leaks have excited many Apple fans, they have also raised questions about the security of Apple’s supply chain. This breach is being compared to the infamous iPhone 4 prototype leak 15 years ago that shocked the tech community. The fact that the leaked device uses last year’s M3 MacBook Pro wallpaper has sparked debate as to whether this leak was intentional or a genuine mishap.

Apple has not officially commented on the leaks, but the company’s history suggests it will thoroughly investigate the breach. Meanwhile, the leaked videos continue to circulate on social media, with tech enthusiasts eagerly analyzing every detail in anticipation of Apple’s upcoming announcement.

Geekbench’s leaked benchmarks show that the M4 chip outperforms its predecessor and promises faster performance and greater efficiency. This is in line with Apple’s strategy to gradually push the boundaries of its silicon technology, particularly with a view to developing more powerful MacBooks that appeal to both casual users and professionals.

Despite the excitement surrounding the M4 MacBook Pro, analysts remain cautious. “While near-term upward pressure is likely to continue until there is clarity on what Israel will do next, the decline in Brent has shown that a rise above $80-82 per barrel will face resistance as demand uncertainties and oversupply changes remain undeterred “Easily,” said Gaurav Sharma, an independent oil analyst in London.

The tech world is now eagerly awaiting Apple’s official event where the company is expected to confirm the details of its latest Mac lineup. In addition to the MacBook Pro, Apple is also expected to launch new versions of the Mac Studio and Mac Pro with more powerful M4 chips, as well as a redesigned iPhone SE and new iPad Air models later in 2025.
