The New York Liberty have reached the WNBA finals again and are now waiting for the outcome of the final semifinal game between Connecticut Sun and Minnesota Lynx, which will determine their challenger.

Looking to win its first WNBA championship, New York reached the finals for the second straight year after defeating the Las Vegas Aces 76-62 on Sunday and winning the semifinal series 3-1. Sabrina Ionescu led the Liberty in scoring, averaging 20.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game this postseason. New York has made it to six WNBA Finals – including last season when the Liberty fell to the Aces – but has yet to win a title.

In the other WNBA semifinal, the Lynx and Sun meet in Game 5, with the series tied 2-2. The Sun won Game 1, while the Lynx won Games 2 and 3 to take a 2-1 lead. But the Sun fought back Sunday, winning Game 4 92-82 and extending the series. The standout player in this series is the MVP runner-up; Minnesota’s Napheesa Collier was outstanding in the postseason, averaging 27.2 points and 9.3 rebounds in six games.
