Bad Boys: Ride or Die is now streaming on Netflix after breaking a major Rotten Tomatoes record for the action franchise. The latest Bad boys The film reunites Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as Miami police officers Mike and Marcus, who are forced to flee because corrupt forces within their department are framing them. The series has come a long way since 1995. The original film was a modest budget affair that made Smith a movie star and launched the career of a certain director named Michael Bay.

Almost 30 years later Bad Boys: Ride of Die grossed $404 million worldwideproving that the series is as popular as ever. The directing duo may lack the visual flair that Bay brought to the series, but they still bring plenty of energy to their film.

There’s nothing jaded or cynical about it and it’s clear that everyone involved is having the best time. The story could rightly be criticized for its predictable twists and contrivances, with the subplot surrounding Howard’s vengeful daughter Judy (Rhea Seehorn) feeling poorly integrated into the central narrative. Despite it, Bad Boys: Ride or Die is all but guaranteed to delight and entertain Netflix audiences.
