Former royal butler among first housemates to face Big Brother eviction

Former royal butler among first housemates to face Big Brother eviction

Tuesday’s episode concluded the first challenge, with the “non-housemates” taking part in a psychological test to try to save themselves from the public vote.

Daze won the final challenge and decided to save Emma and Lily. Hairdresser Dean, former royal butler Nathan, Ryan, who works in marketing, and dental nurse Rosie were left as non-housemates facing the end of their time on the series.

The first act of eviction from the “Big Brother” house will be broadcast live on Friday evening.

On Tuesday’s show, Nathan got into a heated debate about the monarchy.

Now a pork seller from Dumfries in the Scottish Borders, he was asked about his experiences serving the royal family before his housemate Daze gave her perspective, saying her money could be used “to feed children who are actually hungry”.

Daze said: “I don’t really care about them, but I don’t like the fact that we pay for them.

Nathan defended the traditions of the royal family and Charles (Jeff J Mitchell/PA)

“The fact that we pay for it when everyone is struggling financially. I feel like they paid for themselves.”

Nathan jumped in and replied, “But don’t you think they do?” before Daze replies, “No, they don’t.”

She said: “They’re like tourism, the thing is not how much they actually spend from the public facility, that’s just not it.”

“For example, let them use their personal assets to take care of their very expensive lifestyle.

“We have so many poor children who don’t get food, we have pensioners who can’t afford their own fuel, just like we can’t, as if these two worlds shouldn’t exist.”

Nathan told Daze: “But you know, in general it’s the pensioners who are actually the biggest supporters of the monarchy?

“But not everything is about money, sometimes tradition is nice.”

Daze said: “I’m not even against having a king or a queen or whatever, but I’m against it if it looks like we can literally use this money to feed children who are actually starving.” It’s like our schools are collapsing.”

Nathan added: “I think it’s important and I think it’s part of being – just like I’m proud to be British and I think you all should be.”

Earlier this year, Gary Goldsmith, the Princess of Wales’s maternal uncle, appeared as a housemate on Celebrity Big Brother and was the first housemate to be evicted.

Big Brother continues to air at 9pm on ITV2.
