Xiaomi starts selling the Redmi Watch 5 Active with goodie!

At the end of August we introduced you to the Redmi Watch 5 Active, which should cost the equivalent of just under 30 euros. Today Xiaomi also put the inexpensive smartwatch on pre-sale in the German online store. Unfortunately for 32.99 euros – just over 30 euros – there are free in-ear headphones for those who pre-order!

The rectangular Redmi Watch 5 Active follows the design style of its predecessor, particularly the Redmi Watch 3 Active, with distinctive elements such as wide screen bezels and a noticeable lower display chin. The watch’s housing is made of plastic with a sturdy zinc alloy and offers high water resistance thanks to the IPX8 certification (5 bar).

The smartwatch has a 2-inch IPS display with a resolution of 385 x 320 pixels and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. Even if there is no always-on display, the 470 mAh battery ensures an impressive battery life. According to Xiaomi, the smart watch lasts up to 18 days with normal use, while it still lasts around 12 days with intensive use.

Fitness and health features

The Redmi Watch 5 Active is equipped with sensors for heart rate and blood oxygen measurement (SpO2) and supports over 140 different sports modes. Some activities, such as running and cycling, are automatically recognized by the watch, while others can be added manually. In addition, the smartwatch offers over 200 different watch faces for individual customization.

Thanks to the integrated microphones and speakers, the watch enables Bluetooth telephony and supports voice control with Amazon Alexa. These functions make it a versatile everyday companion.

Price and availability of the Redmi Watch 5 Active

From today, the inexpensive Xiaomi smartwatch can be pre-ordered in the online shop until October 13th for a price of 1 euro. The remaining amount of 31.99 euros is then due between October 14th and 17th. Those who pre-order also have the opportunity to choose between various gifts such as the Redmi Buds 6 Play, Mi Casual Daypack or an LED light bulb for free.
