A tour of the open studios

A date with art: This is what the open studio days make possible and have become a popular institution thanks to the large number of visitors and the lively participation of the artists. This one weekend in October offers the opportunity to get to know the entire spectrum of contemporary art, to meet artists and to spend time in the studios and workshops without any time pressure – individually or with a guided tour. In addition to enjoying art, the idea of ​​making the local art scene visible and supporting it is also central. Studio “Etienne’s Art”

Since 2017, Unterberger has placed concrete at the center of his artistic work. On the occasion of the Open Studio Days, Stephan Unterberger is showing works from his current exhibition “Sound of Silence” in his showroom “Etienne’s Art” in Bad Ischl. With this exhibition he would like to set a counterpoint to our everyday life, which is flooded with loud information, videos and images, which hardly offers any space for silence and self-reflection. The roles in this exhibition are played by reflections, which serve as a metaphor for reflection and self-reflection and which are only possible in silence. “Sound of Silence” is a call for reflection in a noisy world.
